वानराणांश्चहृष्टानांसिंहनादःसुपुष्कलः ।।।।स्पोटयन्निवशब्देनलङ्कांसाट्टालगोपुराम् ।महेन्द्रेणेवदेवानांनादस्समभवन्महान् ।।।।
vānarāṇāṃ ca hṛṣṭānāṃ siṃhanādaḥ supuṣkalaḥ | spoṭayann iva śabdena laṅkāṃ sāṭṭālagopurām | mahendreṇeva devānāṃ nādaḥ samabhavan mahān ||
Y los gozosos vānaras alzaron un abundante rugido de león; con su estruendo parecía sacudir a Laṅkā, con sus altas terrazas y sus puertas. Y aun entre los devas, como si Mahendra (Indra) estuviera presente, se levantó una gran aclamación.
