Mientras la batalla proseguía, se alzó una nube de polvo inmensa y maravillosa; y fue apaciguada por el torrente de sangre que manaba de rākṣasas y vānaras.
As the war was in progress, wonderful dust had risen which subsided by the flow of blood of Vanaras and Rakshasas.
The verse functions as a moral warning: when dharma collapses into violent conflict, even nature’s ordinary signs (dust of battle) are overwhelmed by human suffering—adharma has tangible, devastating consequences.
The war continues intensely, and the narrator depicts the battlefield’s extreme conditions through dust and blood imagery.
Endurance and steadfastness are implied as necessary virtues for those who remain committed to a righteous cause amid horrific conditions.
