युद्धकाण्डे द्विनवतितमः सर्गः
Indrajit’s Fall, Rama’s Embrace, and Sushena’s Battlefield Healing
स तंशिरस्युपाघ्रायलक्ष्मणंकीर्तिवर्धनम् ।लज्जमानंबलात्स्नेहादङ्गमारोप्यवीर्यवान् ।।।।उपवेश्यतमुत्सङ्गेपरिष्वज्यावपीडितम् ।भ्रातरंलक्ष्मणंस्निग्धंपुनःपुनरुदैक्षत ।।।।
sa taṃ śirasy upāghrāya lakṣmaṇaṃ kīrtivardhanam |
lajjamānaṃ balāt snehād aṅkam āropya vīryavān || 6.92.9 ||
upaveśya tam utsaṅge pariṣvajyāvapīḍitam |
bhrātaraṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ snigdhaṃ punaḥ punar udaikṣata || 6.92.10 ||
Entonces el valiente Rāma se inclinó y besó en la cabeza a Lakṣmaṇa, acrecentador de gloria. Aunque Lakṣmaṇa se avergonzaba, Rāma, por afecto, lo atrajo con fuerza a su regazo; lo sentó allí, abrazó a su hermano herido y lo miró una y otra vez con tierna solicitud.
Bending the head of Lakshmana, a valiant one and enhancer of glory, who was shy of praising him, Rama lovingly, forcibly drawing him onto his lap and making him sit on examined again and again the wounded body and looked at him.
