Entonces el héroe Lakshmaṇa lo contuvo con el arma de Sūrya. Al ver su proyectil detenido, Rāvaṇi (Indrajit), embriagado de ira, tomó una aguda flecha asúrica, terrible para los enemigos.
Then Lakshmana used a Sun missile and repelled (Indrajith's fire missile). Seeing his missile obstructed, Indrajith deluded with anger used a sharp Asura missile capable of destroying the enemy.
Dharma is shown through disciplined response: Lakshmaṇa counters effectively without being ruled by anger. The verse contrasts dharmic steadiness with anger-driven escalation.
Lakshmaṇa neutralizes Indrajit’s fire-weapon using the Sun-weapon; Indrajit, frustrated, escalates by choosing an Asura missile.
Lakshmaṇa’s composure and tactical clarity (steadfastness under pressure) are emphasized against Indrajit’s loss of equilibrium through rage.
