War-Council Boasts and Stratagems
अस्मिन् मुहूर्तेगत्वैकोनिवर्तिष्यामिवानरान् ।प्रविष्टान् सागरंभीममम्बरंवारसातलम् ।।6.8.8।।
asmin muhūrte gatvaiko nivartiṣyāmi vānarān |
praviṣṭān sāgaraṃ bhīmam ambaraṃ vā rasātalam ||6.8.8||
En este mismo instante iré yo solo y acabaré con los vānaras, aunque se hayan internado en el terrible océano, en el cielo o en el mundo subterráneo.
"Furthermore, this assault by a Vanara on Lanka, to the royal residence, and to the prosperous Lord of Rakshasas is despising."
It cautions that unrestrained rage makes one overpromise and ignore consequences. Dharma emphasizes measured action guided by truth and justice, not impulsive threats.
In the aftermath of Hanumān’s raid, a rākṣasa boasts that he will pursue and destroy the vānaras anywhere in the cosmos.
Implied virtue by contrast: steadiness and strategic restraint—qualities absent in the speaker’s impulsive bravado.
