Algunos, con la mirada fija en el cielo, fueron heridos en los ojos por flechas; aferrándose unos a otros, cayeron sobre la faz de la tierra.
Some Vanaras looking up to the sky eyes pierced with arrows held one another and fell on the ground.
The verse highlights compassion and solidarity amid suffering: even in adharma-driven violence, dharma appears in mutual support and refusal to abandon companions.
Confused by an unseen assault from above, some Vanaras look upward, are wounded, and fall while holding onto each other.
Loyalty and comradeship are emphasized through the image of warriors clinging to one another even as they collapse.
