त्रिशिरा-प्रबोधनम् तथा नरान्तक-वधः
Trisira’s Counsel and the Slaying of Naranthaka
विप्रेक्षमाणस्सुग्रीवोददर्शहरिवाहिनीम् ।नरान्तकभयत्रस्तांविद्रवन्तीमितस्ततः ।।।।
viprekṣamāṇaḥ sugrīvo dadarśa harivāhinīm |
narāntakabhayatrastāṃ vidravantīm itas tataḥ ||6.69.79||
Al mirar en derredor, Sugrīva vio al ejército vánara, aterrado por el temor a Narāntaka, dispersarse y huir de un lado a otro.
Sugriva looked around all over the monkey troops running here and there out of fear of Naranthaka.
Leadership in dharma includes recognizing fear in one’s ranks and restoring morale so that the righteous mission is not derailed by panic.
Sugrīva surveys the field and witnesses his troops fleeing due to Narāntaka’s onslaught.
Sugrīva’s vigilance and responsibility as commander—he notices disorder and is poised to respond.
