The Awakening of Kumbhakarna
यदाभृशंतैर्निनदैर्महात्मानकुम्बकर्णोबुबुधेप्रसुप्तः ।ततोमुसुण्ठीर्मुसलानिसर्वेरक्षोगणास्तेजगृहुर्गदाश्च ।।।।
yadā bhṛśaṃ tair ninadair mahātmā na kumbhakarṇo bubudhe prasuptaḥ | tato musuṇṭhīr musalāni sarve rakṣo-gaṇās te jagṛhur gadāś ca ||
Pero aun entre aquellos gritos feroces, el gran Kumbhakarṇa no despertó de su sueño. Entonces todas aquellas huestes de rākṣasas tomaron mazos, garrotes y mazas.
Kumbhakarna sleeping like that, could not be awakened. Angry Rakshasas roared and hit him with mallets and maces.
