Entre héroes trabados en combate, que jamás retroceden, la lucha entre las huestes de los rākṣasas se tornó en una guerra verdaderamente feroz.
Deluded with fear, the Rakshasas seeing Vajradamshtra killed by monkeys, panic stricken, heads bent in shame, faces woebegone fled to Lanka.
It points to kṣātra-dharma (warrior duty): steadfastness and refusal to abandon one’s post, while implying that such firmness must ultimately serve a righteous end.
The battle escalates into an intense, sustained confrontation with neither side yielding.
Anivṛtti (unyielding resolve) in the face of danger.
