शरबन्धनम् (The Binding by Arrows) / Indrajit’s Illusory Assault and the Vanaras’ Consolation
तंतुमायाप्रतिच्छन्नंमाययैवविभीषणः ।वीक्षमाणोददर्शाथभ्रातुःपुत्रमवस्थितम् ।।6.46.9।।
taṁ tu māyāpraticchannaṁ māyayaiva vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
vīkṣamāṇo dadarśātha bhrātuḥ putram avasthitam ||6.46.9||
Pero Vibhīṣaṇa, mirando con una māyā que contrarresta la māyā, vio entonces al hijo de su hermano allí de pie, aunque oculto por la ilusión.
Though the Vanaras searched all over the battlefield and in all directions of the sky, they could not see Indrajith of mystical powers.
Dharma includes discernment (viveka): Vibhīṣaṇa uses knowledge not for deception but to neutralize deception and protect the righteous cause.
While others fail to spot Indrajit, Vibhīṣaṇa detects him using comparable occult insight.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s prajñā (clear intelligence) and commitment to Dharma over family allegiance.
