लङ्काप्राकारारोहणम् / Assault on Lanka’s Ramparts and the Opening Clash

तेद्रुमैःपर्वताग्रैश्चमुष्टिभिश्चप्लवङ्गमाः ।प्राकाराग्राण्यरण्यानिममन्थुस्तोरणानिच ।।।।

te drumaiḥ parvatāgraiś ca muṣṭibhiś ca plavaṅgamāḥ |

prākārāgrāṇy araṇyāni mamanthus toraṇāni ca ||

Con árboles, cimas de montes y hasta con sus puños, aquellos plavaṅgamas golpearon las crestas de las murallas y destrozaron las puertas de la ciudad.
