Sītā, en Janasthāna se ve aquel espléndido señor de los árboles. Y allí, oh graciosa, el poderoso Jaṭāyu, el más excelso de las aves, de gran fulgor, fue muerto por Rāvaṇa por tu causa.
"Sita, here is Janasthana, where a mighty tree is seen. Oh sportive lady! There the exceptionally strong and highly energetic vulture Jatayu got killed by Ravana on account of you."
Dharma is highlighted through Jaṭāyu’s sacrifice: protecting the innocent, even at the cost of one’s life, is upheld as righteous conduct.
Rāma points out Janasthāna and recalls the spot where Jaṭāyu fought Rāvaṇa and was killed while trying to save Sītā.
Jaṭāyu’s valor and selfless protection (rakṣā-dharma), and Rāma’s gratitude in remembering the sacrifice.
