Al verlo en tal estado, su auriga, sobrecogido por la alarma, apartó lentamente su carro del campo de batalla.
Observing his (Ravana's) condition, the charioteer quietly, slowly withdrew his chariot from the battlefield.
When inner clarity is lost, even one’s support system shifts from advance to retreat. The verse warns that adharma erodes leadership, causing dependence and flight rather than responsible action.
Rāvaṇa’s charioteer notices his impaired state and begins withdrawing him from direct combat.
Prudence and duty of attendants: the charioteer acts to preserve his king when the king cannot act effectively.
