Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
राज्यनाशंवनेवासंदण्डकेपरिधावनम् ।।।।वैदेह्याश्चपरामर्शंरक्षोभिश्चसमागमम् ।
rājyanāśaṃ vane vāsaṃ daṇḍake paridhāvanam |
vaidehyāś ca parāmarśaṃ rakṣobhiś ca samāgamam ||
La pérdida de mi reino, mi vida en el bosque, el vagar afligido por Daṇḍaka, y la afrenta a Vaidehī y su encuentro con los Rākṣasas: todo ese dolor se alza ahora ante mí.
Glorious Raghava, who is the best of those proficient in the use of missiles endowed with great splendour, neutralized that missile (of Ravana) with the missile presided over by Gandharvas.
Dharma as endurance and moral clarity: suffering is recalled not for revenge alone, but to affirm the necessity of restoring justice after adharma (wrongdoing).
Rāma recollects the chain of hardships—exile, humiliation, and Sītā’s violation—immediately before the decisive confrontation.
Steadfastness (dhṛti) and righteous resolve: he holds memory of injustice as fuel for lawful redress.
