Hanuman’s Post-Conflagration Self-Examination and Assurance of Sita’s Safety
विनष्टा जानकी नूनं न ह्यदग्धः प्रदृश्यते।लङ्कायां कश्चिदुद्धेशस्सर्वा भस्मीकृता पुरी।।।।
vinaṣṭā jānakī nūnaṃ na hy adagdhaḥ pradṛśyate |
laṅkāyāṃ kaścid uddeśaḥ sarvā bhasmīkṛtā purī ||
Seguramente Jānakī ha perecido, pues en Lanka no aparece ni un pequeño lugar sin quemar; toda la ciudad ha sido reducida a cenizas.
'Surely Janaki has perished in Lanka, for not even a little place is left unburnt. The entire city is reduced to ashes.
