Ravana Deploys Five Generals; Hanuman Destroys the Commanders and the Remaining Host
यात सेनाग्रगास्सर्वे महाबलपरिग्रहाः।सवाजिरथमातङ्गास्स कपिश्शास्यतामिति।।।।
yāta senāgragāḥ sarve mahābalaparigrahāḥ |
savājirathamātaṅgāḥ sa kapiḥ śāsyatām iti ||
«¡Adelante, todos los que vais al frente del ejército, sostenidos por gran fuerza, con caballos, carros y elefantes; castigad a ese mono!», ordenó.
"O Army generals! march with a large, strong army with horses, chariots and elephants and punish the vanara.
The verse highlights how authority can be directed toward adharma: punishment is ordered without self-examination of wrongdoing (Sītā’s abduction being the larger cause).
In response to Hanumān’s havoc in Laṅkā, Rāvaṇa orders his leading commanders to march out with a full combined force to subdue him.
Not virtue but rājya-śakti (state power) as a theme—showing how command and resources are mobilized in conflict.
