Sita Tests the Messenger; Hanuman Offers Reassurance
आदित्य इव तेजस्वी लोककान्तश्शशी यथा।।।।राजा सर्वस्य लोकस्य देवो वैश्रवणो यथा।विक्रमेणोपपन्नश्च यथा विष्णुर्महायशाः।।।।
āditya iva tejasvī lokakāntaḥ śaśī yathā ।
rājā sarvasya lokasya devo vaiśravaṇo yathā ।
vikrameṇopapannaś ca yathā viṣṇur mahāyaśāḥ ॥
“Rāma es radiante como el Sol; deleita al mundo como la Luna. Es rey de todo el mundo como el señor Vaiśravaṇa, y—de gran fama—está dotado de valor como Viṣṇu.”
"Rama is glorious as the Sun, brings delight to the whole world like the Moon, is theking of kings like Vaisravana, and renowned like Visnu endowed with valour.
Ideal kingship as dharma: Rāma is portrayed as a protector and benefactor whose splendor, benevolence, and valor uphold cosmic and social order.
To strengthen Sītā’s faith, Hanumān extols Rāma’s greatness using well-known divine and cosmic comparisons.
Rāma’s royal dharma—radiance, beneficence, and heroic strength—presented as qualities that ensure justice and protection.
