Hanuman Enters Lanka and Encounters Laṅkā-devatā
द्रक्ष्यामि नगरीं लङ्कां साट्टप्राकारतोरणाम्।निर्विशङ्कमिमंलोकं पश्यन्त्यास्तवसांप्रतम्।इत्यर्थमिह संप्राप्तः परं कौतूहलं हि मे।।।।
drakṣyāmi nagarīṃ laṅkāṃ sāṭṭa-prākāra-toraṇām | nirviśaṅkam imaṃ lokaṃ paśyantyās tava sāṃpratam | ity-artham iha saṃprāptaḥ paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi me ||
Deseo contemplar la ciudad de Laṅkā, con sus mercados, sus murallas y sus pórticos, mientras tú miras—sin temor. Con ese propósito he venido aquí; en verdad, grande es mi curiosidad.
Seeing the monster of a woman, the powerful Hanuman, bull among vanaras endowed with wisdom spoke to her.
