Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal

कथयस्व त्वया दृष्टः स्वप्नोऽयं कीदृशो निशि।तासां श्रुत्वा तु वचनं राक्षसीनां मुखाच्युतम्।।5.27.8।।उवच वचनं काले त्रिजटा स्वप्नसंश्रितम्।

Transliteration

kathayasva tvayā dṛṣṭaḥ svapno 'yaṁ kīdṛśo niśi | tāsāṁ śrutvā tu vacanaṁ rākṣasīnāṁ mukhācyutam || 5.27.8 ||

uvāca vacanaṁ kāle trijaṭā svapna-saṁśritam |

Translation

«Dinos: ¿qué clase de sueño viste en la noche?» Al oír las palabras que salieron de la boca de las rākṣasīs, Trijaṭā habló entonces, a su debido tiempo, palabras fundadas en aquel sueño.
