Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal
भर्तुरङ्कात्समुत्पत्य ततः कमललोचना।।5.27.15।।चन्द्रसूर्यौ मया दृष्टा पाणिना परिमार्जती।
bharturaṅkāt samutpatya tataḥ kamalalocanā |
candrasūryau mayā dṛṣṭā pāṇinā parimārjatī ||5.27.15||
Entonces vi a la dama de ojos de loto alzarse del regazo de su esposo y, con su mano, acariciar suavemente a la Luna y al Sol.
"Then the excellent elephant was seen halted in the city of Lanka with both princes and the large-eyed Sita mounted on the elephant.
The imagery associates Sītā with auspicious cosmic order. In Ramayana ethics, dharma is harmony with ṛta (right order); the dream-symbolism implies restoration of moral balance.
Hanumān recounts a dream-vision where Sītā rises and touches the Moon and Sun—an auspicious sign within the narrative.
