Mientras Hanumān—tigre entre los saltadores—iba en pleno vuelo, el Océano se puso a reflexionar, buscando el honor y el bien de la estirpe de Ikṣvāku.
While the monkey-chief was leaping (across the sea) the Sea-god wished the well-being of the Ikshvaku family and honoured him. (The Sea-god belonged to the same race) :
Gratitude and loyalty to rightful lineage: Sāgara’s concern for Ikṣvāku honor reflects dharma as remembrance of benefaction and protection of the righteous.
The Ocean-god, witnessing Hanumān’s crossing, considers how to respond in a way that supports Rāma’s cause.
Kṛtajñatā (gratitude) and kula-maryādā (upholding the honor of a noble line).
