Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
एवमुक्तः कपिश्रेष्ठस्तं नगोत्तममब्रवीत्।प्रीतोऽस्मि कृतमातिथ्यं मन्युरेषोऽपनीयताम्।।।।
evam uktaḥ kapiśreṣṭhas taṃ nagottamam abravīt |
prīto ’smi kṛtam ātithyaṃ manyur eṣo ’panīyatām ||
Así abordado, el más destacado de los monos dijo a esa mejor de las montañas: "Estoy complacido; tu hospitalidad ha sido debidamente ofrecida; deja que esta angustia se disipe".
The great Hanuman, pleased with the words of Mainaka, said "I am pleased at yourhospitality. Remove your unhappiness.
Dharma is polite truthfulness and reassurance: Hanuman acknowledges the hospitality sincerely while calming Maināka’s worry, showing speech that is both true and compassionate.
Hanuman replies to Maināka’s invitation, expressing appreciation and asking him to abandon any sadness or concern.
Hanuman’s courtesy (vinaya) and emotional steadiness—he honors the host while staying mission-focused.
