Hanuman’s Self-Assertion of Power and Ascent of Mount Mahendra
bhaviṣyati hi me rūpaṃ plavamānasya sāgare | viṣṇor vikramamāṇasya purā trīn vikramān iva || 4.67.26 ||
Dharma is purposeful strength: Hanuman frames his extraordinary act as a dharmic undertaking in service of truth and justice (recovering Sita for Rama).
Hanuman describes how immense his form and power will become while making the ocean-crossing.
Śraddhā and utsāha (confident zeal): he draws inspiration from sacred precedent (Viṣṇu’s strides) to steady the group’s morale.
