सूर्यानुगमनवृत्तान्तः
The Account of Following the Sun
मनश्च मे हतं भूयस्सन्निवर्त्यतु संश्रयम्।यत्नेन महता ह्यस्मिन्पुनस्सन्धाय चक्षुषी।।।।यत्नेन महता भूयो भास्करः प्रतिलोकितः।तुल्यः पृथ्वीप्रमाणेन भास्करः प्रतिभाति नौ।।।।
manaś ca me hataṃ bhūyaḥ sannivartyatu saṃśrayam | yatnena mahatā hy asmin punas sandhāya cakṣuṣī ||
yatnena mahatā bhūyo bhāskaraḥ pratilokitaḥ | tulyaḥ pṛthvīpramāṇena bhāskaraḥ pratibhāti nau ||
Mi mente, de nuevo abatida, se apartó de su apoyo; mas, con gran esfuerzo, fijé otra vez los ojos en aquello. Con gran empeño miré de nuevo al Sol, y a nosotros el Sol se nos mostró igual en medida a la tierra.
'Without taking leave of me Jatayu descended down to the earth. Seeing that, I also followed him down quickly from the sky.
