Sugrīva, junto con sus ministros, se había vuelto en verdad enemigo de mi padre; entonces Rāma, tras dar muerte a Vālin, lo ungió e instaló como rey.
'Sugriva and his ministers developed hostility towards my father. Rama killed Vali and installed Sugriva as king.
It points to rājadharma: kingship is tied to order and legitimacy, and political transitions (abhiṣeka) are framed as restoring rightful governance—though they arise from conflict.
Angada recounts the Kiṣkindhā conflict: Sugrīva opposed Vālin, Rāma killed Vālin, and Sugrīva was anointed king.
Rāma’s role as an enforcer of pledged justice within an alliance, and Sugrīva’s attainment of kingship through formal consecration.
