प्रणष्टा श्रीश्च कीर्तिश्च कपिराज्यं च शाश्वतम्।रामप्रसादात्सौमित्रे पुन: प्राप्तमिदं मया।।।।
praṇaṣṭā śrīś ca kīrtiś ca kapirājyaṃ ca śāśvatam |
rāmaprasādāt saumitre punaḥ prāptam idaṃ mayā ||
Oh Saumitri, mi prosperidad, mi gloria y aun la perdurable soberanía del reino de los vánaras—que una vez se perdió—han sido recobradas por mí gracias a la gracia de Rama.
'O Saumitri! my prosperity, fame and the permanent sovereignty of vanaras had been lost. It was regained by the grace of Rama.
Gratitude and truthful acknowledgment of help are dharmic: Sugriva openly credits Rama as the cause of his restored fortune and rule.
Sugriva explains to Lakshmana that Rama’s intervention (in Vāli’s fall) restored his status, setting the moral basis for Sugriva’s obligation to aid Rama in return.
Kṛtajñatā (gratitude): recognizing benefaction as a binding moral duty.
