Sugriva’s Coronation and Angada’s Installation
सुसमृद्धां गुहां रम्यां सुग्रीवो वानरर्षभः।।प्रविष्टो विधिवद्वीरः क्षिप्रं राज्येऽभिषिच्यताम्।
susamṛddhāṃ guhāṃ ramyāṃ sugrīvo vānararṣabhaḥ | praviṣṭo vidhivad vīraḥ kṣipraṃ rājye 'bhiṣicyatām || 4.26.10 ||
Que Sugrīva, toro entre los monos, entre en la grata y próspera ciudad-cueva; y que ese héroe sea pronto consagrado como rey, conforme a los ritos debidos.
'Let Sugriva enter the beautiful prosperous cavern (Kishkinda) and be installed by you as king with due rituals.'
Dharma of governance: rightful succession should be established promptly and ritually, preventing disorder after a ruler’s fall.
After Vālī’s death, the vānara leadership urges immediate installation of Sugrīva to restore legitimate rule in Kiṣkindhā.
Administrative responsibility—placing public order above personal hesitation.
