यदि दृश्येत सा साध्वी यदि चेह वसेमहि।स्पृहयेयं न शक्राय नायोध्यायै रघूत्तम।।।।
yadi dṛśyeta sā sādhvī yadi ceha vasemahi |
spṛhayeyaṃ na śakrāya nāyodhyāyai raghūttama ||
Si tan sólo pudiera verse a la virtuosa Sītā, si tan sólo pudiéramos morar aquí con ella, oh el mejor de los Raghus, no anhelaría el puesto de Indra, ni siquiera Ayodhyā.
'O Lakshmna, the best of the Raghu race, if only that chaste Sita appears, we will stay here. I will not wish for the position of Indra or for Ayodhya.
