Rāma Subdues Paraśurāma; the Vaiṣṇava Arrow Is Discharged
न चेयं मम काकुत्स्थ व्रीडा भवितुमर्हति।त्वया त्रैलोक्यनाथेन यदहं विमुखीकृत:।।।।
na ceyaṁ mama kākutstha vrīḍā bhavitum arhati | tvayā trailokyanāthena yad ahaṁ vimukhīkṛtaḥ ||
Y esto no debe ser para mí motivo de vergüenza, oh Kakutstha; pues tú, Señor de los tres mundos, eres quien me ha hecho retroceder y someterme.

True dharma includes humility: accepting defeat without resentment when it comes from rightful, higher authority, and recognizing the moral order behind events.
After being checked by Rāma’s superior power, Paraśurāma reframes his defeat as honorable because it is inflicted by the ‘Lord of the three worlds’.
Grace in submission—Paraśurāma shows acceptance and truthful acknowledgment rather than wounded pride.
