त्रिशङ्कुस्वर्गारोহণम्
Trishanku’s Bodily Ascent and the New Constellations
एवमुक्ता: सुरास्सर्वे प्रत्यूचुर्मुनिपुङ्गवम्।एवं भवतु भद्रं ते तिष्ठन्त्वेतानि सर्वश:।।।।गगने तान्यनेकानि वैश्वानरपथाद्बहि:।नक्षत्राणि मुनिश्रेष्ठ तेषु ज्योतिष्षु जाज्वलन्।।।।अवाक्छिरास्त्रिशङ्कुश्च तिष्ठत्वमरसन्निभ:।
evam uktāḥ surāḥ sarve pratyūcur muni-puṅgavam |
evaṁ bhavatu bhadraṁ te tiṣṭhantv etāni sarvaśaḥ ||
gagane tāny anekāni vaiśvānara-pathād bahiḥ |
nakṣatrāṇi muniśreṣṭha teṣu jyotiṣṣu jājvalan ||
avākśirās triśaṅkuś ca tiṣṭhatv amara-sannibhaḥ || 1.60.30-31 ||
Así interpelados, todos los dioses respondieron al más excelso de los sabios: “Así sea; bendición sobre ti—que esto permanezca por doquier. En el firmamento, muchas estrellas quedarán fuera de la senda de Vaiśvānara. Oh mejor de los ascetas, entre esas luminarias, Triśaṅku también permanecerá—resplandeciente como un inmortal—pero con la cabeza hacia abajo.”
