The Slaying of Tāṭakā
Having heard the words of Viswamitra, Rama rejoiced and rested happily that night in the Tataka forest .
Dharma yields inner steadiness: after fulfilling a protective duty, one can rest without guilt, showing harmony between righteous action and personal peace.
Rāma accepts the sage’s plan and stays the night in the forest where Tāṭakā had lived.
Rāma’s respectful compliance with his guru’s instruction and his composed confidence after completing a difficult task.
