The Slaying (Burial) of Viradha
स विद्धो बहुभिर्बाणैः खङ्गाभ्यां च परिक्षतः।निष्पिष्टो बहुधा भूमौ न ममार स राक्षसः।।।।
sa viddho bahubhir bāṇaiḥ khaṅgābhyāṃ ca parikṣataḥ | niṣpiṣṭo bahudhā bhūmau na mamāra sa rākṣasaḥ ||
Aunque atravesado por muchas flechas, tajado por dos espadas y aplastado de muchas maneras contra el suelo, aquel rākṣasa no murió.
On hearing those words of Sita, both the heroes, Rama and Lakshmana hastened to kill the wicked Viradha.
