दितिस्त्वजनयत्पुत्रान् दैत्यांस्तात यशस्विनः।।3.14.15।।तेषामियं वसुमती पुराऽसीत्सवनार्णवा।
ditis tv ajanayat putrān daityāṃs tāta yaśasvinaḥ | teṣām iyaṃ vasumatī purā 'sīt sa-vanārṇavā ||
Mas Diti, oh amado, engendró hijos ilustres llamados los Daityas; y en tiempos antiguos esta tierra—con sus bosques y sus mares—les pertenecía.
O dear Rama, Diti bore glorious sons called Daityas and this earth with all the forests and seas belonged to them.
