FAQs

It praises a transcendent destination (parama-sthāna) described as beyond the reach of mere doctrinal or intellectual Brahman-discourse, implying that a higher spiritual attainment is being highlighted in the surrounding narrative.

It functions as a transition: the speaker urges the listener to hear a truthful, sacred account (puṇya vṛtta) concerning the events of a “righteous war” (dharma-yuddha).

The verse suggests that attentive listening to a truthful dharmic narrative is spiritually beneficial—framing the events as morally instructive and worthy of contemplation.
