Concept: Sustenance is a sacred exchange: even cosmic nourishment is framed as yajña (offering), where divine ‘water-oblation’ satisfies the Earth.

Application: Make daily nourishment and resource-use ‘yajña-like’: offer gratitude, conserve water, and dedicate actions to the divine good rather than mere consumption.

Medinī (Earth)

FAQs

It portrays the Earth (Medinī) being ritually and cosmically “satisfied” through offerings of divine, sweet, milk-white water—linking creation/nourishment with sacred oblation.

Not directly in this shloka; it focuses on the quality of the water (divine, sweet, milk-like) rather than naming a particular sacred place.

The verse emphasizes sustenance and reverence: the world is maintained through sacred acts of offering, suggesting a duty to nourish and honor the Earth through righteous, life-supporting conduct.
