FAQs

It highlights a vivid narrative moment of need and dependence—hunger, crying, and the urgent seeking of nourishment—often used in Purāṇic storytelling to underscore vulnerability and the impulse to seek refuge where sustenance is found.

Though not explicitly doctrinal, the image of beings moving with single-pointed intent toward nourishment parallels bhakti’s ekāgratā (one-pointedness): the devotee turns toward the true source of support with focused longing.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; it functions primarily as narrative description within the Uttara-Bhāga’s Mahātmya-style storytelling.
