It teaches that mantra-japa performed while immersed/standing in sacred water, followed by the Aghamarṣaṇa performed three times, functions as a powerful purification—comparable in merit to major Vedic sacrifices in its ability to destroy sin.
By emphasizing japa (repetitive sacred recitation) alongside ritual purity, it frames devotion as a disciplined practice: sincere remembrance through mantra, supported by dharmic rites, becomes a means of inner cleansing and spiritual progress.
It highlights ritual procedure (kalpa/śrauta-smārta prayoga): the timing (after entering water), the method (japa), and the count (three repetitions) for Aghamarṣaṇa as a structured expiatory purification.
