The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya
मया दत्तेन पिंडेन तृप्तिमायांतु सर्वशः । आदौ तु पंचतीर्थेषु चोत्तरे मानसे विधिः ॥ ६६ ॥
mayā dattena piṃḍena tṛptimāyāṃtu sarvaśaḥ | ādau tu paṃcatīrtheṣu cottare mānase vidhiḥ || 66 ||
Que todos los antepasados queden plenamente satisfechos, en todo sentido, por el piṇḍa (ofrenda funeraria) que yo he dado. Primero, el rito debe realizarse en los Pañcatīrthas; y en la región del norte, el procedimiento prescrito es en Mānas(a).
