Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma
रममाणस्य सुचिरं बहवः कार्तिका गताः । प्रिया सौख्येन मुग्धस्य न गतो हरिवासरः ॥ १४ ॥
ramamāṇasya suciraṃ bahavaḥ kārtikā gatāḥ | priyā saukhyena mugdhasya na gato harivāsaraḥ || 14 ||
Para quien se entrega al deleite por largo tiempo, pasan muchos meses de Kārtika; pero para el engañado, hechizado por el bienestar de la amada, el sagrado día de Hari (Ekādaśī) parece no llegar jamás.

Bhakti requires alertness to Viṣṇu’s sacred days and vows; the verse contrasts mindful observance of Harivāsara (Ekādaśī) with the negligence produced by infatuation and indulgence.
