The Greatness of Kārtika
Narada (teaching in a dharma/ritual instruction context within Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It emphasizes niyama (discipline) in dharma: offerings should be made as prescribed, and omissions in dana or procedure diminish the integrity and fruit of the rite.
By stressing sincere, capacity-based offering (śaktitaḥ) and faithful adherence to prescribed worship, it supports bhakti as careful, reverent service rather than casual ritualism.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied: correct materials (silver/gold vessel) and correct performance are required; failure in either is treated as a lapse in the prescribed rite.
