गुरुरुवाच कुतस्त्वं कथयानन्द ! चैत्रः को वा त्वयोच्यते ।
सङ्कटं महदाभाति क्व जातोऽत्र ब्रवीषि किम् ॥
gurur uvāca kutas tvaṃ kathayānanda caitraḥ ko vā tvayocyate | saṅkaṭaṃ mahad ābhāti kva jāto 'tra bravīṣi kim ||
El maestro dijo: «¿De dónde hablas así, Ānanda? ¿Quién es ese “Caitra” que mencionas? Parece que se cierne un gran peligro: ¿dónde naciste? ¿Qué es exactamente lo que estás diciendo?»
