पाण्डवपरिचयः—विराटसभायां प्रकाशनम्

स देवदत्तं सहसा विनाद्य विदार्य वीरो द्विषतां मनांसि । इसी प्रकार अन्य माननीय वीरोंसे भी विदा ले गाण्डीवकी टंकारसे सम्पूर्ण जगत्को प्रतिध्वनित करके वीर अर्जुनने सहसा देवदत्त नामक शंख बजाया और शत्रुओंका दिल दहला दिया
sa devadattaṃ sahasā vinādya vidārya vīro dviṣatāṃ manāṃsi |
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: El heroico Arjuna hizo sonar de improviso la caracola llamada Devadatta; su bramido, como un trueno, desgarró los corazones de sus enemigos y los estremeció, proclamando su resolución sin miedo y su justa disposición a afrontar el conflicto cuando el deber lo exige.
