Identification of the Pāṇḍavas in Virāṭa’s Court
Even when political and military tensions rise, dharma requires inner discipline and unwavering respect toward elders and teachers. Arjuna’s silence shows restraint, and his bow to Bhīṣma and Droṇa shows that ethical conduct is not abandoned in the face of impending conflict.
As the Kuru champions depart, Arjuna watches with quiet satisfaction. He refrains from speaking conciliatory words for a time, then turns back and formally bows to Bhīṣma and Droṇa, acknowledging them as venerable elder and guru, and exchanges words with them.
