तान् प्रस्थितान् प्रीतमना: स पार्थो धनंजय: प्रेक्ष्य कुरुप्रवीरान् । अभाषमाणोनुनयं मुहूर्त वचोडब्रवीत् सम्परिह्ृत्य भूय:
tān prasthitān prītamanāḥ sa pārtho dhanañjayaḥ prekṣya kurupravīrān | abhāṣamāṇo nunayaṃ muhūrtaṃ vaco ’bravīt samparihṛtya bhūyaḥ || pitāmahaṃ śāntanavaṃ ca vṛddhaṃ droṇaṃ guruṃ ca praṇipatya mūrdhnā |
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Al ver partir a aquellos héroes preclaros de los Kurus, Pārtha Dhanañjaya se alegró en lo íntimo.
