Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
तस्य बाणमयं वर्ष शलभानामिवायतिम् | दृष्टवा ते विस्मिता: सर्वे साधु साध्वित्य पूजयन्
tasya bāṇamayaṁ varṣaṁ śalabhānām ivāyatim | dṛṣṭvā te vismitāḥ sarve sādhu sādhv ity apūjayan |
Al ver su lluvia de flechas —densa y extendida como un enjambre de langostas— todos los guerreros quedaron atónitos y, clamando «¡Bien hecho! ¡Bien hecho!», lo alabaron con admiración.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Excellence in action (śaurya and kauśala) naturally earns recognition; even amid conflict, fair-minded warriors can honor remarkable skill, reflecting a kṣatriya ideal of respecting prowess and valor.
A warrior unleashes an extraordinary, far-spreading rain of arrows, compared to a locust swarm; the assembled soldiers, amazed by the display, acclaim him aloud with “sādhu, sādhu.”
