Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
बाहुभिश्न सकेयूरैविंचित्रैश्व महारथै: । सुवर्णचित्रै: कवचैर्ध्वजैश्न विनिपातितै:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | bāhubhiś ca keyūraiś ca vicitraiś ca mahārathaiḥ | suvarṇacitraiḥ kavacair dhvajaiś ca vinipātitaiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: En aquella batalla, muchos guerreros—heridos y atormentados por las flechas de Pārtha (Arjuna)—cayeron muertos. Brazos adornados con brazaletes keyūra fueron cercenados y se desplomaron en el suelo. Grandes combatientes de carro, con atuendos y ornamentos variados, eran abatidos. Corazas finamente labradas y doradas, y estandartes caídos, yacían esparcidos por doquier. Al ver tales señales de ruina, todo el ejército quedó desconcertado, casi sin sentido por el miedo.
