Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
अग्निचक्रोपमं घोरं व्यकर्षत् परमायुधम् । व्यशातयच्छरांस्तांस्तु द्रोग: समितिशोभन:
agnicakropamaṃ ghoraṃ vyakarṣat paramāyudham | vyaśātayaccharāṃstāṃstu droṇaḥ samitiśobhanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Droṇa, espléndido en el fragor de la batalla, tensó hasta la oreja su arma suprema—terrible como una rueda de fuego en llamas—y con sus andanadas abatió todas aquellas flechas que cubrían su carro. La escena subraya la disciplina del arte de las armas: aun cercado por los dardos del adversario, el maestro-guerrero curtido responde con fuerza contenida, no con pánico, y convierte la destreza en defensa y renovada ofensiva.
