«¡Uttara! Avanza por el lado derecho del carro cuyo estandarte muestra el signo de un altar de oro. En esa dirección está Kṛpa, hijo de Śaradvat.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights practical discernment in a tense setting: recognizing persons and positions through distinctive signs (a banner emblem) and moving with tactical awareness (keeping to the right), while acknowledging respected elders like Kṛpa.
A narrator’s report gives directions to approach a particular chariot identified by a banner bearing a golden-altar emblem, indicating that Kṛpa—Śaradvat’s son—is located on that side/direction.
