Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 54 — Missile-Exchange and Tactical Redirection

स तैहयैर्वातजवैर्बृहदूभि: पुत्रो विराटस्य सुवर्णकक्षै: व्यध्वंसयत् तद् रथिनामनीकं ततो5वहत् पाण्डवमाजिमध्ये
sa taihayair vātajavair bṛhadūbhiḥ putro virāṭasya suvarṇakakṣaiḥ vyadhvaṃsayat tad rathinām anīkaṃ tato ’vahat pāṇḍavam ājimadhye
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Con aquellos grandes caballos—veloces como el viento—el hijo de Virāṭa (Uttara), cuyos paños del arnés remataban en oro por detrás, condujo a toda prisa e hizo que los corceles pisotearan y desbarataran la formación de los aurigas kauravas; luego llevó al Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) hasta el mismo centro de la batalla.
