Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 33 — Kuru Cattle-Raid and Matsya Mobilization (भूमिंजय-प्रेरणा)
दर्शयामास भीमस्तु सुशर्माणं नराधिपम् | इसके बाद भीमने रणभूमिमें स्थित राजा युधिष्ठिरके पास जाकर उन्हें राजा सुशर्माको दिखलाया
darśayāmāsa bhīmas tu suśarmāṇaṃ narādhipam |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Bhīma presentó entonces al rey Suśarmā ante el rey (Yudhiṣṭhira). Tras el choque, Bhīma se acercó a Yudhiṣṭhira, que permanecía en el campo de batalla, y le mostró a Suśarmā, señal de que el deber en la guerra se cumple con contención, prueba y responsabilidad, y no con vana jactancia.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in warfare, righteous conduct emphasizes responsibility and verification: the warrior reports outcomes to the rightful leader, aligning personal prowess with collective dharma and lawful authority.
After subduing Suśarmā, Bhīma brings him before Yudhiṣṭhira on the battlefield and shows him the captured/defeated king, indicating the completion of the immediate martial objective.
