Virāṭa Rescued from Suśarmā; Night Battle and Royal Gratitude (विराटमोक्षणं सुशर्मवधाभिमुखं च)
ते त्रिगर्ताश्न मत्स्याश्व संरब्धा युद्धदुर्मदा: । अन्योन्यमभिगर्जन्तो गोषु गृद्धा महाबला:
te trigartāś ca matsyāś ca saṃrabdhā yuddha-durmadāḥ | anyonyam abhigarjanto goṣu gṛddhā mahābalāḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: Entonces, inflamados de ira y enloquecidos por la embriaguez de la guerra, los Trigartas y los Matsyas—guerreros de gran fuerza—se lanzaron rugidos mutuamente, fijándose unos a otros como blanco, movidos por la codicia de apoderarse del ganado.
